January 1, 2012 - Well, that just about shoots 2011 in the ass.

Last night was a blast at the Grafton Elks for New Years. Thanks to Mandy for making it happen. We appreciate the warm welcome (and the food!). Love the layout of the room (except getting into the back door) and the way we sound in there. Hope to come back in 2012 to play again.

December 18, 2011 - mojo doctor would like to thank Michelle and Amy from Bottom's Up for inviting us to play this weekend, last night was our first night there and we had a ball. Loved the sound, the crowd and vibe. Let's do it again! See the slideshow!

We'd also like to wish a wonderful merry Christmas and happy new year to all of our friends, fans and families. 2011 was great. 2012 will be even better. Rock on!

December 13, 2011 - Just got last Saturday's pictures from the Crystal Lounge up. It was Pete's birthday. His cake had one candle because he is #1!

December 4, 2011 - Last night's Buckhannon Eagles pictures are here. We got Terri up to sing a couple. We hope to learn more with her soon.

Next Saturday is the Crystal Lounge. Two weeks to our gig at Bottom's Up in Buckhannon. Three weeks to Christmas, four weeks to New Year's. Hang on to your ass, time is flying by faster and faster.

October 23, 2011 - Fun night at the Crystal last night. Lots of pictures and a big thanks to Ronda for taking most of them. Hi to John Victor and Bill Gaston who came out to party with us. Both of them happen to have played in an earlier version of mojo doctor. Angie is recuperating and was not able to come out. We all wish her well and a rapid recovery.

Saturday was the Bear Skin and the usual wild party. "Hey" to Valenda. Happy birthday!!! (haha)

Sunday was the Buckhannon Moose's golf ball drop at Evunbreth. Beautiful weather and had a great time. Thanks to Rob for asking us to play. Also, a big thank you goes out to Terri for helping out on the vocals last set (and loading out) on Sunday when Pete had to leave early to go to work.

Next weekend is Pete's Place in Sutton on Airport Road. Don't miss us!

September 18, 2011 - mojo doctor picked up several new country songs... Dirt Road Anthem, Are You Gonna Kiss Me, Hillbilly Bone, Born to Boogie, Country Girl Shake It for Me, plus some rock... Seether... Queensryche... Had a ball at the Crystal Saturday. Terri and Julie got up to sing. Donny's buds all got lit and everyone else seemed to enjoy the party!

September 9, 2011 - Pete's Place canceled us on Friday the 9th due to not having their liquor licence yet. We should be there as normal on Saturday the 10th.

August 11, 2011 - The site is back up after Verizon finally got around to repairing their data link. They are on strike, you know.

August 8, 2011 - We learned a bunch of new country stuff. We felt we'd been leaning too heavy on the loud screaming. We can still play the loud screaming, but now we have a bunch of stuff that will go over better with the country buffs! Fiddles! Banjos! Y'all!

Great party at Pete's last night. The rain held off and we got a lot of the crowd from the John Michael Montgomery concert. We played all our new songs and they went over pretty well. Friday was Clay County night, and we wish a warm happy birthday to Matt and Michelle.

July 20, 2011 - More too busy to write!

Brudder Joe came out from Jersey to see us at the Crystal Lounge on the 2nd.

On the 9th, mojo doctor played outdoors at the Summerville/Sabattini/Fratta/Foltz/McPeak/mojo doctor 2011 family reunion. Kids ran and screamed. Food was cooked and et. Joe played the toaster. Much glee was had by all... 'specially Pete and Roger who passed out by midnight. Donny and Bill and Bill and I played on until 4:30 in the morning. It was quite a reunion.

Next Saturday 23rd is Mike's birthday party at the Buckhannon Eagles. It's a private party, invites only, starts at 7.

Our sincerest apologies to Denlin's for the booking confusion on the 23rd!!! I hate when shit like that happens but sometimes it just does.

June 26, 2011 - Great time last night at the Eagles. It was a late crowd, but better late than not at all, huh? Terri got up to sing one and Bill got up to drum a bit! We all had a blast! Celebration! Libation! A big 'Hey' goes out to Amy, Mark, Steve, Bear and his bunch, Jody, Den, Larry and their table, Steve and Natasha, Terri, Remona and friends, the whole Eagle's crew and everyone else! June 18, 2011 - Great fun at Pete's Place this weekend. Friday, Todd got up and played drums on Pour Some Sugar on Me. Saturday was boB's birthday. We had some fun with Megan who is getting married soon! And Billy Boggs got up and sang Sweet Home Alabama for us! Whoot whoot! See the pictures! June 15, 2011 - It's summer... who has time to write??? However I will try, briefly...

Had a great time two weeks ago at Denlin's, even without Charlene if that is possible!

Last Friday we thank Chad from Stone Cradle for filling in for Donny at the Crystal Lounge. Then Saturday was an exceptionally awesome party with some great people at the Bear Skin. The pictures say it all! Terri got up to sing a couple songs, too!

Next weekend we are back at Pete's Place in Sutton Friday and Saturday.

I've said it before and I'll say it again... we love you all!!!

May 21, 2011 - Pete's Place last weekend with Donny back was a dream... we really missed him and glad he's back! Saturday actually had a crowd that made some noise for a change!

A big thanks to everyone who came out to the Eagles Saturday, despite the Strawberry Festival going on in town. Y'all made a racket and it made us feel great!

Passing thru town on the way home, Roger and I stopped in at the Kanawha to catch Facing3's last set. Sounded good, guys. Nice crowd!

May 15, 2011 - Last weekend Rob Moore from Facing3 filled in for Donny at the Bear Skin. Thanks, Rob!

This weekend at Pete's, Donny was back and ready to play after three weeks off. Friday was a bit sedate, but Saturday the crowd really let loose. It was quite the place... Pete's Place was! Check out the pictures!

April 26, 2011 - Thanks to everyone who came out to support mojo doctor with Chad Johnson of Stone Cradle standing in on guitar this weekend, while Donny recovers from his surgery.

Also a big "hell, yeah" to Johnny Victor, previously of mojo doctor who came out to party with us! Love ya, John!!!

We will be OFF this weekend (4/29 & 4/30), but back in force at the Bear Skin on May 7th. Y'all come on out!

April 23, 2011 - Donny sends out a hearty thanks to everyone who wished him a fast recovery. He will be out of action for about two weeks while he heals up from surgery he received to correct an ear problem and from a sprain in his right arm, two things a guitarist needs, really. Guitarist Chad Johnson from the Stone Cradle band will fill in tonight at the Crystal Lounge. We thank Chad for helping us out in this emergency. We will not play anywhere next weekend. I also made a couple corrections to errors in dates and times in the calendar. Should be all better, now!

March 27, 2011 - What a wonderful crowd at the Bear Skin. It was almost like the old days... no, it was better than the old days. A whole bunch of people out to have a good time and doing it right. Happy birthday to Brittney, Brandon and Cheryl. Pictures!

March 26, 2011 - We had last night off and decided to go running around to see some of the other local talent. We stopped in and saw Stone Cradle's first set at Charlie's in Anmoore (my first time there), then headed up to the Crystal Lounge and caught Facing3 mid-set, then watched Farm Use finish out the night at JC Maxey's in Bridgeport.

It was fun to see old friends and meet new ones. What a great bunch of guys all around (and Belinda) and a lotta good music. Particularly impressed with the new kids on the block, Farm Use. And of course it was fun to watch Bones doing that interpretive dance thing. Pictures!

Spending Saturday afternoon polishing off four new songs that we may or may not try tonight at the Bear Skin depending on the collective, accumulated preparedness. I, for one, am ingesting lots of legal, government recommended stimulants!

February 28, 2011 - Just booked Friday 3/11 at the TRIC in Buckhannon.

February 27, 2011 - Well, first off, mojo doctor would like to thank the Stone Cradle band for letting us borrow their guitarist, Chad Johnson, for a few hours last night at the Buckhannon Eagles. Turned out Donny had to work late and wouldn't have been able to get to the Eagles until midway thru the second set. Chad was a real lifesaver, helping us not have to cancel the gig. He did a great job stepping in and playing with NO rehearsal. We were quite happy and heap profuse thanks upon Chad!

Donny did arrive around 10:30 and got up and played a few songs on Chad's guitar in the second set, and Bill got up also to play bass on Man in the Box and For Whom the Bell Tolls. What a bunch of metal-heads we had in the crowd.

And speaking of the crowd, what a bunch you were! I've never seen such a hearty response, even on Halloween... not even on New Years! We felt like we were playing at a concert and not just a dance at the FOE. You really made us feel great!

It was funny to watch Ronda behaving! And Charlene was on her best behavior! It was Crystal's birthday (just turned 16 and has never been kissed). A big mojo 'hey' goes out to Malena and her friends, also to Steve and Amy, Dave and Charlene and Nora, Ted and Remona, Mark P. (thanks for watching Donna), Bill and Dave, Jody and Den, and especially Beckie for giving Roger a good teasing! Poor thing turned three shades of red. (and what's wrong with bass-players?) Kudos to everyone else, known and nameless, we love you all and hope to see you again soon! Except for the brawlers in the ladies' room that ended our last set early and ruined it for everyone else. Shame!

February 20, 2011 - Well! mojo doctor would like to thank John and the staff at the Country Lodge for the warm welcome. Also, a personal thanks to 'Sparky' who helped hook up the power feeder. We'd also like to compliment all the nice people in the crowd we met... we really liked the atmosphere. Atmosphere is more than paint and decor, it's the vibe you get from the people in the room and we liked it! Too bad more people didn't know who we were, or didn't believe a band they never heard of would rock their socks off! Spread the word. We hope to be back soon! (slide show)

February 15, 2011 - Duhh... I missed a bunch of good pictures from the Crystal last Saturday night. The error has been corrected and the slide show has been expanded. Yay!

Sorry, there were a bunch of cool people that didn't get put up because so many of the pictures turned out dark and hazy due to the fog.

February 13, 2011 - Guys, don't forget Monday is Valentine's Day. There are a lot of roses in the grocery stores that need to be bought. So, git on it!

Next Saturday we play at a new place (to us), the Country Lodge. Take I-79 north to Prickett's Fort exit, turn left at the end of the ramp then turn right at the stop sign (old Route 73). The Lodge is on the right about a mile as I remember, maybe more, maybe less. We start at 9.

February 12, 2011 - Big crowd at the Crystal last night, the best we've had in a while. Saw a lot of old friends we'd been missing and went around brushing shoulders and pressing the flesh. Sorry for all the smoke we use to make the lights look more intense, I know it screws up the camera flash and my nose doesn't like it either. Bill Stone came out to see us and we got him up to play bass on a couple songs. Bill used to play with Donny and me in a couple old bands.

February 11, 2011 - Donna and I went out to watch a band called Brand X (from Charleston) playing for a birthday party at the ?Mark in French Creek. Not a bad show, excellent players, good selection, thumping bass.

February 6, 2011 - Funny crowd at the Bear Skin Saturday, for a new moon that is. I didn't think we played very well, Roger didn't either. The energy never really got up to that level of euphoria that we like, but everyone had a good time. It was Trecia's birthday and I know she had a good time, as well as a few other people... you know who you are! And that's all that counts, right?

February 4, 2011 - February - holy cow! I finally got around to feeling like digging through some of the recordings we make everywhere we play and got some new MP3s up on the site. Click the MP3 button over there on the left side. Or click this. If you have a fast connection you can stream them through your browser's music plug-in. If you have a slow connection, just "right-click/save-as" the files and then open them in your computer's MP3 player. Check back, I will be uploading a few.

January 30, 2011 - Had to cancel Friday at Pete's but we got to play Saturday. Had a blast with everyone. Good times. Happy birthday to Mike and Dawn.

January 23, 2011 - Woo hoo to the fine folks who braved it out in the freezing cold to party with us at the Buckhannon Eagles. The new laser lights were not as bright or exciting as I'da liked but several people commented on them and enjoyed staring at the pretty dots. They looked best without any other lights on, plus a good dousing of *choke* fog! I also thought the mirror ball was not quite as present as it could have been. The Kanawha Lounge mirror ball, now that's the effect I'm aiming for.

Happy Birthday to Debbie! And greetings to Jeff, Ted and Remona. Jaime got up to sing Journey and did a fine job at "Lights". Terri braved it up from Weston. We need to determine a song that you and we both know and get you up to sing one, too! Hi to Lisa who has come back to West Virginia where she belongs. And hello to new friends from the table back in the corner. I told you I would not be able to remember your names, (except Ryan, I think) but that doesn't mean we don't appreciate you. Y'all come back next time!

January 20, 2011 - Well, 4th quarter taxes and sales tax are done, now I can blog like a free human being again!

DJ Mojo's bar and grill in Anmoore will not have their liquor license (a stupid piece of paper) in time for mojo doctor's gig on the 29th (who could stand watching mojo doctor without liquor?) so we have rebooked the weekend at Pete's Place, where they were going into serious mojo withdrawal. It is 1/28 and 29 at Pete's in Sutton. hip hip huzzah!
